Parent Code of Conduct
Maryland Apex Elite Soccer Academy is committed to creating a positive, respectful, and development-focused environment where every child can learn, build confidence, and enjoy soccer.
Parents and guardians are expected to:
Encourage, don't coach. Positive cheering is welcome, but please allow our coaches to provide soccer instruction. Avoid directing players from the sideline.
Support development over results. Mistakes are part of learning. Encourage effort, improvement, confidence, and enjoyment rather than focusing on winning or comparing players.
Respect everyone. Treat players, coaches, families, officials, and facility staff with courtesy and respect. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Allow coaches to coach. Please avoid interrupting training unless there is an immediate health or safety concern. Questions and concerns can be discussed privately with the coach at an appropriate time.
Model good sportsmanship. The behavior adults demonstrate helps shape the character and behavior of our young players.
Keep soccer positive. After training, consider asking, “Did you have fun?” or “What did you learn today?” rather than focusing on mistakes or performance.
Behavior that disrupts the safety, learning, or positive experience of our players and families may result in a warning, removal from a session, or, in serious or repeated situations, removal from the program.
Thank you for helping us create an environment where children can learn, make mistakes, build confidence, and love the game.
