The safety of our players, families, and coaches is a priority at Maryland Apex Elite Soccer Academy. Weather and field conditions can change quickly, and the academy may cancel, delay, shorten, or modify a training session when conditions are considered unsafe.

Weather & Field Conditions

Training may be affected by conditions including :

• Thunder or lightning

• Heavy rain or severe storms

• Extreme heat or cold

• Snow or ice

• Unsafe or unplayable field conditions

• Facility closures

• Other conditions that may affect participant safety

Maryland Apex Elite will make cancellation decisions based on available weather information, field/facility conditions, and the safety of our players and families.

Lightning & Severe Weather

If thunder or lightning occurs during an outdoor session, training will be stopped and players will be directed to leave the field and seek appropriate shelter with their parent, guardian, or responsible adult.

Training will resume only when conditions are considered safe and applicable facility or safety requirements allow play to continue.

Cancellation Notification

When possible, families will be notified of a cancellation or schedule change as early as reasonably possible using the academy's designated communication method.

Because weather conditions can change quickly, some decisions may need to be made shortly before or during a scheduled session.

Makeup Sessions

When Maryland Apex Elite cancels a training session, the academy will make reasonable efforts to provide a makeup session.

Makeup dates, times, or locations may differ from the regularly scheduled program.

If circumstances prevent the academy from reasonably providing a makeup session, any applicable credit or refund will be handled according to the academy's Refund Policy

Family Choice Not to Attend

When Maryland Apex Elite cancels a training session, the academy will make reasonable efforts to provide a makeup session.

Parents and guardians should always use their own judgment regarding travel and their child's participation.

However, if an academy session remains scheduled and a family chooses not to attend, the absence will generally be treated as a missed session rather than an academy cancellation, and a refund or credit will not normally be provided

Our Priority

No training session is more important than the safety of our players and families. When conditions are questionable, Maryland Apex Elite will prioritize safety.
